The M2 is the way to go if you want unadulterated power and performance, including an available six-speed manual transmission, letting you go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. As a subcompact model, the backseats are a bit tight for adults with long legs, but getting this kind of power with seating for more than two passengers makes it a great option for many drivers.

The 2024 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

If you want a subcompact car with a bit more room inside, then the four-door 2 Series Gran Coupe is the way to go. Two versions of this model are on offer for 2024: the 228i with a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo I-4 engine that provides 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and the M235i with all-wheel drive and an engine tuned to deliver 302 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 BMW 3 Series Sedan

These options start with the 330i, which is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and is powered by a 2.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo I-4 engine that offers 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque—the same as the standard engine for the 2 Series Coupe. From there, you can choose the 330e, which utilizes an electric motor for plug-in hybrid performance tuned to deliver 288 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

If you’re after improved performance, then you have several amazing options, starting with the M340i, which features a 3.0L BMW M TwinPower Turbo I-6 engine with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque; this model can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. You can also choose the M3 sedan, which features a similar engine tuned to deliver 473 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, or go all out with the M3 Competition, which delivers 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, letting the 3 Series go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. All of that power, plus more than 35 inches of rear legroom and standard features that include a reconfigurable 12.3-inch instrument cluster display and 14.9-inch central information screen, create a truly exceptional driving experience.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe, Gran Coupe, and Convertible

Once offered as variants of the popular 3 Series, the 4 Series became its own lineup about a decade ago, creating more options for variety and bold design. For 2024, the 4 Series is available as either a two-door Coupe or a four-door Gran Coupe, much like the 2 Series. However, while the 2 Series utilizes two different platforms, these two models have more in common. There is also a two-door 4 Series Convertible that shares the same platform. As you’d expect from BMW, you have a number of exciting powertrain options, with most of them available on all three versions of the 4 Series. However, some options are exclusive to particular variants. All three versions start with a 430i model featuring a 2.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo I-4 engine that delivers 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

If you want enhanced performance, all three body styles have an M440i model with a 3.0L BMW M TwinPower Turbo I-6 engine that provides 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Where they differ is in the third option for each 4 Series model; the Gran Coupe has an i4 all-electric version available, while the Coupe has an M4 model with a 3.0L I-6 engine tuned for 473 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. You can even get an M4 Competition version of the Coupe and Convertible that boosts that further to 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, letting you go from zero to 60 in only 3.8 seconds (or 3.4 seconds if you choose AWD). The 2024 BMW 5 Series Sedan

One of the most popular and iconic luxury cars on the road, the BMW 5 Series is a midsize option that’s perfect for a wide range of drivers, which is why it’s earned so many fans over the years. Alongside a new all-electric i5 version, the standard 530i sedan is available with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and is powered by the 2.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo I-4 engine that delivers 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is a great car that’s incredibly fun to drive, and its midsize design means you have plenty of room inside, including more than 41 inches of legroom up front and 37 inches of legroom for your rear-seat passengers.
